Our proposed pre-K After School Program

We are currently in the process of obtaining final approval to operate our After School program at the Pre-K Mosaic Centers in Elmhurst. While we hope to open as soon as possible, approval timelines are outside of our control and the program may not be ready to begin by September.

For now, we're opening a pre-registration form for families interested in joining our After School. While it's not a confirmed enrollment, we encourage you to complete this pre-registration process to stay up to date on updates and get your child enrolled as soon as the program officially opens.

ABOUT OUR AFTER SCHOOL

The program runs Monday through Friday from 2:00PM to 6:00PM. 
Every afternoon is thoughtfully structured to balance active play, creative exploration, social interaction, and age-appropriate learning opportunities.

Snack

Children will eat snack when they first arrive at the program in the afternoon. We apply for free snacks each year through the Office of Food and Nutrition Services. We ask that you please send additional snacks for your child each day.

Your child will participate in three engaging, age-appropriate activities each day designed to support learning, creativity, and active play. Our extensive menu of active, creative, exploratory, energetic classes can be seen here.

Story Time

We end the day with a Story Time, giving children a chance to relax, spark their imagination, and transition smoothly from an active afternoon to home time
while enjoying meaningful stories that inspire curiosity and creativity.

Children will participate in three activities each day, selected from the exciting options listed below. The program follows a structured schedule, which will be emailed to parents before the first day of After School.

Soccer: Children are introduced to soccer in a fun and non-competitive way to foster love for the sport. The classes consist of warm-ups, games, and fundamental skill practice.

Recycled Art: Through fun projects, children are exposed to multiple forms of art creation using recyclables including painting, drawing, collage, weaving, as well as craft techniques that enhance fine motor skills and help them develop their understanding of art concepts.

RECYCLED ARTS

Hip-Hop: Get ready to move and groove! This high-energy class teaches kids fun hip-hop dance moves, builds rhythm, and boosts confidence while they dance to cool beats.

HIP-HOP

Construction Blocks: Build amazing creations and boost your imagination! This class lets kids explore engineering and design by constructing various projects with different types of building blocks.

CONSTRUCTION BLOCKS

Theater: this class introduces kids to the world of theater through acting games, storytelling, and stage performance basics. It builds confidence, creativity, and collaboration while encouraging self-expression in a fun, supportive setting.

Drama: this class focuses on character development, improvisation, and scene work to help kids explore emotions and storytelling through performance. It strengthens communication skills, imagination, and stage presence.

DRAMA &
THEATER

STEM: Children explore their inner scientist and learn by doing fun crafts and experiments. It is the perfect class to breed curiosity and get kids excited to learn through practice!

Obstacle Course: Children are motivated to move around, over, under and through an obstacle course. This class promotes physical skills, strength, balance, speed and movement concepts. 

OBSTACLE COURSE

Jewelry Making: Children are introduced to the many ways and various materials used to create jewelry pieces, learning design concepts and how to use tools, choose beads and tie knots as they create unique, personal wearable art.

Perler Beads: Children have the opportunity to create their own shapes and patterns by using recyclable, multicolored, heat-activated beads. Once their artwork is done, the instructor irons with wax paper to fuse the beads together, creating the child’s unique artwork.

JEWELRY MAKING & PERLER BEADS

Volleyball: This class is designed to teach the fundamentals of volleyball for all players. Children are introduced to the sport through active drills and game play.

VOLLEYBALL

Clay: this class lets kids explore their creativity by shaping and molding clay into fun projects. It helps develop fine motor skills, imagination, and patience in a hands-on, artistic environment.

CLAY

Basketball: beginner level class to introduce the children to the skills and concepts of basketball.

BASKETBALL

Spartan Kids: children build strength, endurance, and confidence through a fun program of obstacle course-inspired challenges and teamwork. It's a great way for kids to get active and embrace the Spartan spirit!

SPARTAN KIDS

Cooking: this class teaches kids basic cooking skills, kitchen safety, and healthy eating habits through fun, hands-on recipes. It encourages creativity, independence, and a love for preparing and enjoying food.

COOKING

Tumbling: this class helps kids build strength, balance, and coordination through basic tumbling skills like rolls, handstands, and cartwheels. It’s a fun and active way to develop flexibility and body awareness.

No charges will be made during pre-registration. Final enrollment and billing will only occur after the program is approved and officially opens.

By completing this form, you will join our pre-registration list and expressing interest in enrolling your child if and when the program is approved. This is not a confirmed enrollment, and submitting this form does not guarantee a spot in the program. You will be asked to save a payment method as part of the pre-registration process; however, no fees or tuition will be charged unless the program is approved and you choose to proceed with the enrollment.
